Student Strike

Thousands of Students from all around Tasmania walked out of school in the past three weeks in opposition to the proposed Gunn's Pulp Mill. Students showed initiative by walking out of school with parent permission and gathered with their fellow peers to show the public that students do have an opinion.
Both rallies were organised by students of all ages and walks of life who have formed a group called Students Against the Pulp Mill. This group is now growing everyday with hundreds of Students signing up to be a member at the rallies.

This is only the begining.

Why is it only students against the pulp mill? Is there anything for people against the pulp mill?

I am not a student (even thought I am student age) but I still refuse to support this abomination.

I would link to you if you had more content up.

There is a group called Tasmanians Against the Pulp mill but they are based in the north of the state. This has been organised as a student group because a group of students got together and decided we wanted to get young people involved to have a say. If you are not a student but are still young, Im sure you would be most welcome to come along to an organising meeting. Our public rallies and events are open to all. Hope to see you at one of our many upcoming events!
